Tom Abbiss Smith is a talented Image Maker currently living in Norwich, UK. Through both contemporary and traditional techniques such as digital collage, printmaking and painting, Tom explores shape and form to produce abstract designs and illustrations. His inspiration comes from nature, music and urban environments.

We sat 5 min with him and asked a couple of questions, regarding his work.

R. Hi Tom, please tell us...What inspires you?
T. I'm hugely inspired by nature, especially plant forms and the beautiful textures you see in environments. I'm also influenced by having fun/playfulness. I try to combine the 2 together in my work.

R. What's your favourite piece of art?
T. It would have to be this one, by Antti Kekki

R. Have you got a favourite work of yours, why?
T. 'Pink Gasteria'.
I think I got the balance of shape colour and texture perfect, it works large scale too so I'm really happy with it.

R. How would you describe your work?
T. Playful, experimental, dynamic, colourful, planty.
