INTRODUCING: MARK WHEATLEY @ FOUNT LONDON

15th Sep 2015

Mark Wheatley is a creative artist based on the south coast, and is displaying work at East End Prints new pop up at FOUNT LONDON E8.

Mark Wheatley (Marko) is an artist based on the south coast of England. Known for producing bold graphic artworks; he frequently works across different disciplines including: painting, collage, screen print, postcards, t-shirts and ingenious 3D creations, constructed from found packaging. He has featured in many exhibitions and art shows across the UK in the last 10 years, such as Brighton Art Fair and HOT-ONE-HUNDRED at Schwartz Gallery London and many more.

From his creative studio in Worthing, he has produced many screen prints, including two currently on show and for sale at East End Prints brand new pop up in London Fields. His prints are colourful, playful and include different stencil shapes and imagery produced at the highest quality. As well as prints he also produces high quality digital printed zines, which are created in a very handy A5 size, and with hand stitched binding. They have been displayed and sold at Zineworld SK Studios, London in 2014. He's also produced laser printed posters, where different layers are composed and different imagery combined together.

Some of Mark's first work was abstract acrylic paintings, some on large scale sizes of paper. His paintings range from pieces bursting with colour to minimal and simplistic coloured shapes and patterns. He went onto producing collage, combining cut out images on abstract backgrounds, which stand out and are very visual.

Mark's latest works are his postcards and 3D models, both were displayed at his Open House as part of the Worthing Artist's Open Houses this summer. His postcards come in a pack of 6 and are part of his 'People' series. His 3D models are made using found objects, packaging, polystyrene, and paper mache. The different 3D model series include 'Techno', 'Lite Stuff' and 'Novelty'. Click here to visit his website.
