Our best selling lino print artist is INK ONK whose cool and unique lino prints are made in London. Wonderfully detailed linocut art prints of animals and images wild life including the ever-popular Bee lino print, Greyhound art print, Hare linocut print and many more.
The Linocut printing process is one that emerged in the early 1900s and is descended from woodblock printing process. Images are made by carving with a sharp knife or V-shaped chisel into the flexible lino to create a stamp. The lino is then loaded with ink and impressed onto paper. The results can be exquisite hand cut images and offer a wonderful texture and unique appearance. Among our Limited Edition art print range our linocuts are extra special as no print is quite the same. With each print the lino relief changes slightly each time it is used and therefore each and every linocut print is unique.
Famous lino print artists include Josef Albers, Emma Bormann, M.C. Eascher and Irena Sibley. It is common for artists to incorporate linocut printing into their broader design practices.
Our Lino prints can be accessed online and in our shop on Brick Lane. They are part of our broader Limited and open editions collection. The works by our lino print artist’s come in a range of sizes, beginning at A5 ranging up to A2. Because of the variance in size and textures, we are only able to offer framing options in our shop. All our limited edition prints are individually priced and often signed by the artists with the run number where appropriate. We are proud of the range of subjects and themes in our limited editions art print collection.
