El Famoso Interview - "I want to meet more people, see more shows and eat weird foods."

As part of our East London special, an interview with;  

El Famoso 

El Famoso are the brother act Chris and Rich. We asked the boys why they came to London, and what they think about the East. 

Chris's Answers

I came to London to attend Kingston University, but the main reasons were to escape the Suffolk countryside. I wanted to meet more people see more shows and exhibitions and eat weird foods. I like east for its bagels and pop up gallery's, but more for its history and traditions of markets, trades and pie and mash shops. I like food and history lots.

Rich's Answers

I'm pretty much the same as Chris. I grew up in the countryside where there was 1 bus a week, so a big city seemed appealing. I moved to south London after Kingston Uni around 8 years ago. London's the place to be for meeting shitloads of creative people, plugging your portfolio to agencies and mainly having a wander around to see weird things. I work in Hoxton street east London. I like it as it still feels not too 'trendy'. We've got market stalls, chicken shops and nutters, but a good mixture of decent pubs, cafe's and shops. I like it east as its creative, good pizza and there's always something new to find.
