1.HACKNEY FLEA MARKET

Hackney Flea Market is back at Abney Hall in Stoke Newington with over 25 traders, selling everything from vintage clothes, 20th century furniture, records, glass and ceramics, handcrafted jewellery and more. Free, just turn up, 10-11 October

2.AFRICA ON THE SQUARE

Launched in 2014, This celebration of African culture takes place in Trafalgar SqauretThis year’s packed line-up of entertainment includes live music, DJs, dancing and a talent show. There’ll also be an African market, food stalls, a fashion show and lots of activities for kids.

3. HACKNEY WONDERLAND

One ticket gives you access to 20 bands across four venues today. Yep, rock'n'roll festival Hackney Wonderland is back in four East London bars, with bands including Frankie & The Heartstrings and The Graveltones taking to the stage.

4.LIBERTY IN FASHION

This major new exhibition, coinciding with Liberty’s 140th birthday celebrations, explores the iconic department store’s style history, from Oriental bazaar to London shopping icon. Over 150 garments, textiles and objects charting the store’s journey through the pre-Raphaelite styles of the nineteenth century to the development of the iconic ‘Liberty print’ to high-end fashion collaborations in the nineties, noughties and present day. A must-see for fashion fans.
