Established in 2009 by Philip Lauri, DETROIT LIVES! is a social brand representing a unique and refreshing look at one of America’s most interesting cities. DL! combines creative multimedia development with entrepreneurship in a way that re-constructs notions of identity in Detroit while promoting engaged citizenship and social change. From documentary films and an iconic clothing line to murals painted throughout the city and editorial content, the company as a whole plays an active role in shaping the story of Detroit.
